One a day in September 1971 a very young Janet went to work in an office. There she met a man much older in years but a man who was never ever old in his ways until illness struck him. Ken and Janet became friends and eventually more than friends. Everyone thought that this relationship was wrong and in some ways it was. But the relationship continued until Ken and Janet became so close it became a fact that they would always want to be with each other. Their relationship grew and grew until it became a love so deep it could not end. Ken and Janet overcame all the opposition that came their way and afer trying to part on a couple of occasions, the longest for 3 months it was plain that they could not be parted from each other. Time passed and a lot of heartache and happiness happened. The love and happiness though always were the main things in this relationship. It grew and grew until these two people shared a life, a home and their cats together. Still a lot of things happened but again the love shone through and the life they lived together was the main thing in both their lives. The years passed, cats were saved and loved and cared for and the love in their home grew and grew. They spent their time just living a life that was theirs, in a home that they made together with the love they shared together. However Ken became older and eventually a terrible illness took him away and Janet knew that life would never be the same again. She knew that she would never be the same person again that the bright light that shone in her life had finally gone out completely. Life will go on but not the life she desperately want to go back to and re-live. All the years with the good things and the bad things. She remembers all the good things, She remembers Ken's face, the feel of his face, the look in his eyes the smile on his face all the expressions he had all the cheeky faces, the sad face the happy happy face, the proud face when he looked at his garden, when he finished a job in the house. The way he worked so hard to make their home such a comfortable happy home. Janet remembers how Ken made her feel in 1971 and in all the years after, how he cared for her when she was ill, how he cared for her when she was cold or needed a cup of tea in the evening. Janet remebers how loved he made her feel and wonders how she can go on in this life without having that love. Janet can still feel that love inside her though it will always be there. She will always love Ken in the same way as always, think of him always and always wish he could be back with her. Janet is so very grateful that her and Ken met so very grateful for their love for each other and for their life together and for the happy times on their own, with their cats and happy times with friends. Janet knows that the life her and Ken shared with always be the main part of her life and the future will be something else that has to be lived but Ken will remain in her heart in the same place as he always was always, loved, adored, wanted and cherished.
